So at around 3:50 I sit down with the Cochella Livestream tab open and I’m waiting for it to start at 4:00. So I’m waiting, and I’m waiting, and it doesn’t start.
It wasn’t till about 4:25 that I realized that they probably meant 4:00 PST and not 4:00 EST.

FUCK ME I DID IT AGAIN!! I sit down to watch Bon Iver/Explosions in the Sky and when the live stream starts and it’s still daylight, I realize that I’m a giant fucking idiot!
TWO YEARS IN A ROW! DAMN YOU TIME ZONES!!

So here’s yet another list of things I’m doing in 2012. My goal for this year is to read a total of 40 books. So I’ll put the name of the book, its author, and the date I finished it!

Finished

  1. The Hobbit - J.R.R. Tolkien (1/11/12)
  2. Ruminations, Peregrinations, and Regenerations: A Critical Approach to Doctor Who - James Rose (4/10/12)

Currently Reading

  • The Complete Sherlock Holmes: Volume I - Arthur Conan Doyle
  • A Feast for Crows - George R.R Martin
  • Pride and Prejudice - Jane Austen

So I’ve seen the ‘365 movies in 365 days’ challenge and I thought I’d do this one for me. I’m not the movie kind of person, I don’t watch movies often at all, but I do watch a lot of shows and if the movieholics have a challenge, then why shouldn’t I. The goal is simple: 500 episodes in a year. Each episode counts as just one: if it’s 20 min long, it’s still 1 episode, not just half. If it’s, lets say, a Sherlock episode, one hour and a half, it’s still just 1 episode, not 2 or 3 or 4. This is way less than 2 episodes per day, so it’s not impossible at all, in fact in 2010 I reached this goal in half a year. So yeah homes. Watch all the episodes!

The 365 Films Challenge
Short and Sweet Overview: Watch 365 films in the year 2012.
What Is This Challenge?Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to spend the next year delving into the world of film by watching one film that you have never seen before per day.
How Do I Participate? The extent of how you participate is totally up to you, however it is recommended that you post some form of a review, whether it be as simple as a star rating or as extensive as a critical film analysis. Some also do graphics along with their reviews.
When Do We Start?Like most 365 challenges, the best day to start is January 1st so that you end on December 31st.
But Isn’t This A Leap Year? It Should Be 366.Consider it a free day or a bonus film, I could care less.
What If I Can’t Watch A Film Each Day?No one is monitoring how you reach 365 films, so if you fall behind or watch ahead a few movies, that is your choice.
How Am I Going To Find 365 Films To Watch?I suggest signing up for iCheckMovies and start with their top movies lists. You’re bound to find something you haven’t seen before.
