S: It truly is fascinating.
L: What’s that?
S: For someone who claims to hate all of mankind, it’s interesting to see just how human you really are.

and i owe you so much
‘Perhaps it’s time to go home now, Sherlock.’
One of the greatest two-second moments of television *ever*. You almost, almost, almost find yourself feeling the teensiest bit of doubt, and then Andrew Scott blows your mind with this brilliantly subtle reveal. So good.
And of course, Sherlock’s little grin that follows is also pretty amazing. :]
It’s so …perfect. Subtle.
Like his hands are shortly tearing away the Richard Brook mask he is wearing, to reveal himself. Because he has to reveal himself to Sherlock. To mock him slightly and say “Look how clever I am, Sherlock.” He can’t resist it. And Sherlock can’t help but have some admiration for him, because it is clever. Very clever.

(What if… Sherlock had put Amy’s life in danger and he said he could no longer stay with her because he doesn’t want her to die because of him. What if after that, he decided to take one serious measure to protect her in any way?)
“Dear Amy, I’m sorry.
I’m sorry for everything I did, for everything I put you through and all the pain I caused. I wont make you suffer more, I promise.
Live well. Find someone who loves you better than I loved you.
I will always love you, and that’s the problem.
Goodbye.”
